As we begin the new semester, we're excited to welcome you back and share opportunities to connect, learn, and build community across campus and beyond. In keeping with our tradition, we utilize this digest to inform you of EJIE-led and co-sponsored events that focus on our pillars: Education and training; Community-building, Cultural appreciation, and Climate. Subsequent sections also list relevant events on campus and in the broader community. As well, we provide some inclusion-related resources, highlights of inclusion practices across higher ed, and reflections/photos of recent EJIE and campus community events. May we all thrive in 2026!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Observed each year on the third Monday of January, Martin Luther King Jr. Day honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader of the Civil Rights Movement who championed racial justice, equity, and nonviolent social change. Beyond commemoration, the day is recognized as a National Day of Service, inviting communities to reflect on Dr. King’s values and consider how they can continue advancing justice and equity in their everyday lives.
