About the Toloma 5K

EJIE sponsors an annual 5K run in recognition of the tradition among Indigenous tribes of California to engage in distance running for communication and competition. Members of local tribes and residents of the greater Merced community are invited to participate and run through a campus course that includes passing beneath the Beginnings sculpture, crossing over Scholars Bridge, and passing by the Toloma Grove Native acknowledgment and reflection area. Funds raised support Native American student scholarships and programming.

Race Registration Flyer
